Jason Fairbourne- The Microfranchise Guru

Jason leading the development process

On Friday I had the pleasure of meeting with Jason Fairbourne for a couple of hours and learning from him. Jason is the founder of Fairbourne Consulting. He and his team have worked in developing countries in Latin America, Africa, and Asia. Their programs are very successful and have helped thousands of people!

How do they do it? In a nutshell, they go into the target area looking for the best opportunities for micro businesses. The team spreads out and gathers information from all levels of the community. One will talk with the youth, another with the working men, another with the women, another with the governing agencies, etc. They discuss cultural issues, physical needs, natural resources, market opportunities, etc.

Once the team has gathered the information, they meet together to build business plans for micro-businesses that can be turned into franchises. Ideas are proposed, evaluated, torn apart, rebuilt and tested. After sufficient distillation, preliminary business plans are put together and the field testing begins. The business plans are modified and improved over the course of several months. With a well researched and developed business model, they are ready to roll it out to the community.

Fairbourne consulting's work has had very good success as measured by increased business activity and the longevity of the projects. The goal is to have self sustaining projects that can be scaled and replicated.

I applaud the efforts of Jason and his team. They are lifting developing communities around the world.

Keep it up Fairbourne Consulting
